Purified Mercury (4 tola)

Purified Sulphur (4 tola)

Banyan tree latex (Vat Ksheer)
Process:

Mercury and sulphur are triturated to form Kajjali (fine black amalgam).

Levigated with banyan latex.

Heated slowly in an earthen vessel.

Stirred continuously with a wet wooden stick.

Cooked on mild heat for one full day.
