Shwet Parpati: A Classical Ayurvedic Formula for Urinary & Digestive Health

Shwet Parpati is a traditional Ayurvedic formulation described in classical texts, primarily known for its beneficial action on the urinary system, digestion, and metabolic balance. It is prepared using time-tested mineral and herbal processing methods to ensure proper assimilation and effectiveness.

Classical Composition & Preparation Method

Ingredients (Traditional Measure):

  • Refined Sora (Potassium Nitrate) – 40 Tola

  • Fitkari (Purified Alum) – 5 Tola

  • Nausadar (Ammonium Chloride) – 2½ Tola

Traditional Preparation Process:
All ingredients are coarsely powdered and placed in an earthen pot. The mixture is heated gently until it melts into a liquid form. This molten preparation is then poured over a surface layered with cow dung and covered with a large banana leaf. Another banana leaf is placed on top and pressed gently.

Once cooled, the solidified mass is collected, finely powdered, sieved through a cloth, and stored in an airtight glass container.

How It Supports Urinary Cleansing

Ayurveda explains that during normal body metabolism, various salts, acids, and waste substances are produced. These are naturally eliminated through urine. When urine flow is obstructed or reduced, these wastes remain in the body and may cause imbalance.

Shwet Parpati helps:

  • Maintain clear and adequate urine flow

  • Support natural detoxification through the urinary system

  • Promote clarity and cleanliness of urine

  • Support healthy bladder and kidney function

Digestive Support Benefits

Due to its Deepana and Pachana properties, Shwet Parpati also supports:

  • Improved digestion

  • Relief from indigestion and abdominal discomfort

  • Better metabolism in individuals with weak digestive fire
